    Richard Mofe-Damijo stars in South African Netflix feature 'Magenta Coal'

    Another exciting character to look out for in the coming days.

    Nollywood veteran actor RMD will star in the South African movie Magenta Coal which is set to stream on Netflix.

    It’s unclear what RMD’s role entails in this title but expectations are high following his recent character in another Netflix movie The Black Book. He recently delivered the ultimate revenge role of Paul Edima, who unearths a dark part of him to avenge his son’s death.

    Magenta Coal centres around a family of mining magnates who run the biggest coal mine in South Africa. However, things get steamy when Matilda the wife of the mining magnate gets consumed with a desire for fortune and family succession.

    This time around, this new title is expected to be a drama series, which will commence streaming on October 27, 2023, following the recent addition by Netflix.

    The cast includes Connie Chiume, Vusi Kunene, Hamilton Dlamini, Ntando Duma, Nambitha Mpumlwana, Senzo Radebe, Jack Devnarain, Cedric Fourie, Celeste Khumalo and Omuhle Gela.

    In other news, Bae Beyond Borders, a dating reality show that follows the lives of four South African women, eager to find love commences today. The ladies who are open to finding love go on the search for a Nigerian man to date and eventually marry.

    Malibongwe Gumede, Nande Ramcwana, Vuvu Maseti and Zezethu Mniki have to pick from 12 Nigerian bachelors from different walks of life. They will engage online through speed dating means and must collectively select eight men who have thrilled them the most out of the initial 12 before they proceed to Nigeria to meet them physically.
